Trailer Build up
I am currently
building a new Trailer so I can easily tow my rig to the trails
Specs:
16 foot deck
82" wide
4x4 1/4" Angle Iron
Wood Deck To see
pics and progress follow links below
DAY 1
We laid out the outside of the deck..
made sure it was square (a lot of measuring)
we then tacked it all in place and re-measured.. then after it was
all set we welded it all up. After all that was done we cut all the
cross braces and laid them were they would go.
DAY 2
We welded in all cross braces for the
deck.
Each Cross brace was lifted 2" off deck so that way we can slide the
wood in under the steel and it will be a tight fit.
DAY 3
We welded in some more braces for the
leaf hangers to be welded to.
DAY 4
We cut the steel and welded in the
tongue
DAY 5
We decided to flip the trailer onto
its side so it would be easier to weld the seams....and I will never
try this again with only two people ( mistakes we make )
DAY 6
Ok well we flipped it to top side up
so I could finish more welding.. and Yes I had more help this time
DAY 7
Did some more welding and flipped
trailer again. I also started to paint some of the crossbraces with
some black paint
DAY 8
Finally got all the welding done so I
painted the bottom side of trailer and it is now ready to be flipped
again
DAY 9
Well We did flip it over and set it on
old axles to see how it would look, we also did some more work to
the front.
DONE
Well We finally got the trailer finished.
The Addition
Yes I have added more to the trailer
